This policy explains what we collect when you use Sibyl, why, and what control you have. The data controller is Vantar Group LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
1. What we collect
- Your email address — to create your account and send sign-in links.
- Birth details — the date, time and city you were born, which you give us so we can calculate your astrological chart. We also store the calculated chart.
- Your readings — a written record of what was said during a call, so Sibyl can remember you next time. Call audio is processed live and is not retained by us as a recording.
- Usage and billing — call times, minutes used, credit balance and purchase records.
- Technical data — IP address and basic device/browser information, and a device identifier used to prevent abuse of the free-minutes offer.
We do not collect or store your card details — payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
2. Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To provide the service you asked for — calculating your chart and delivering readings (contract).
- To personalise future readings by remembering you (contract / legitimate interest).
- To meter minutes, take payment, and keep records (contract, legal obligation).
- To prevent fraud and abuse of free minutes, and to keep the service secure (legitimate interest).
- To respond to you when you contact us (legitimate interest).
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Who processes your data
We use these providers strictly to run the service:
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- xAI — the AI voice model that speaks with you.
- LiveKit — real-time audio transport for the call.
- Stripe — payment processing (they receive payment data directly).
- Hetzner — hosting (Germany).
- Cloudflare — DNS and content delivery.
Some of these providers are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside your country, including from the EEA/UK to the US, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and chart data — while your account exists.
- Reading records — until you delete them or close your account.
- Billing records — as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years).
When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your personal data except records we must legally keep.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict use of your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email support@callsibyl.com — we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies only — they keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted, and secrets are stored in a managed vault. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information. Please treat your birth details and readings as personal, and don't share sensitive information (financial details, passwords, health records) with Sibyl — she will never ask for them.
8. Changes
We will update this page and its “last updated” date if this policy changes.
